Dülken - a friendly little town
On the Lower Rhine, about 35 km from Düsseldorf, there is a small town that was first mentioned in documents in 1135. Today, around 20,000 people live in the multifaceted Dülken. The center of the town is characterized by Wilhelminian architecture, which developed in a fortress from the Middle Ages. The further you walk outwards, you find middle-class houses, extensions from the 50s, 60s and 70s, and newly developed residential areas in which modern single-family homes are now located and being built. The highest elevation above sea level in the town reaches 58 m, bordered on the sides by a small ridge that the last ice age pushed up to exactly 90.70 m. An annual average temperature of around 10 °C is determined by pleasant, hot summers and crisp winters.
Dülken borders on the districts of Boisheim, Süchteln, Alt-Viersen and Amern. Mönchengladbach borders the city area to the south.
From the so-called fool's mill to the old city wall and the Dülken original "Tien Anton"... There is a lot to discover in and around Dülken.
